Welcome to Japan! Transfer to your hotel by shuttle bus. In the late afternoon, take a metro ride (tickets included) to the vibrant Shinjuku district to experience Tokyo’s nightlife buzz. Dinner included before returning to the hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy a 5-hour guided tour of Tokyo. Highlights include: Zojoji Temple and Tokyo Tower photo stop Shibuya Crossing – the busiest intersection in the world Meiji Shrine Omotesando Boulevard Imperial Palace gardens and Nijubashi Bridge Akihabara (Electric Town – manga & anime hub) Kokugikan Sumo Stadium Sensoji Temple with its iconic 55-meter pagoda Free time to explore Nakamise shopping street in Asakusa. Lunch included. Afternoon free. Note: During the Olympics, accommodations may be near Narita Airport.
Board the bullet train to Kyoto (approx. 2 hours 45 minutes). Explore Kyoto’s cultural treasures: Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion) Imperial Palace Fushimi Inari Shrine with thousands of torii gates Free time before visiting Gion, Kyoto’s traditional geisha district. Overnight in Kyoto.
Morning trip to Nara: Visit Todai-ji Temple with its giant Buddha statue and friendly deer park (petting & feeding allowed) Lunch included. Visit Horyu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s oldest wooden structures. Arrive in Osaka in the evening, Japan’s second-largest city. Explore the lively Dotonbori nightlife district.
Morning visit to Mount Shosa via cable car to the Engyo-ji Temple complex, filming location of The Last Samurai. Visit Himeji Castle, Japan’s most impressive and well-preserved castle. Lunch included nearby. Continue to Okayama to visit Korakuen Garden, one of Japan’s finest traditional gardens with lakes, waterfalls, and tea houses. Overnight stay.
Visit Kurashiki, a charming town with a well-preserved historic district. Travel to Hiroshima: Peace Memorial Park and Museum Atomic Bomb Dome Ferry ride to Miyajima Island, home to the iconic Itsukushima Shrine partially submerged in water. Explore the island and shrine. Dinner included. Overnight in Hiroshima.
After breakfast, proceed independently to Hiroshima Airport for your flight back to India.
