Travel by bullet train to Hiroshima (~4 hours). Visit the Peace Memorial, Bomb Dome, Museum of Peace. Ferry to Miyajima Island, visit Itsukushima Shrine (floating torii gate). Lunch and dinner included. Overnight in Hiroshima.
Ferry to Shikoku Island. Sightseeing includes Matsuyama Castle (funicular ride), Ishiteji Temple, and Dogo Onsen (traditional bathhouse). Lunch included. Overnight in Matsuyama.
Visit Kotohira Shrine (785 steps climb). Explore Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu. Lunch included. Visit Naruto Bridge with a glass floor walkway. Travel to Kobe for an overnight stay.
Visit Kobe Earthquake Memorial Museum (or Sake Museum/Kobe Tower depending on schedule). Proceed to Osaka and then to Mount Koya, Japan’s major Shingon Buddhist center. Visit Okuno Mausoleum, Kongobuji Temple. Evening Zen meditation (Ajikan) at monastery. Dinner included (vegetarian). Stay in traditional Japanese-style rooms with shared facilities.
After traditional breakfast, travel to Kyoto. The tour includes the Imperial Palace, Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), Fushimi Inari Shrine, gardens, and an evening visit to Gion district (famous for geisha). Free time for further exploration.
After breakfast, proceed to the airport on your own for your flight back to India.
